A Safe Welcome To Newborn Babies

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Nowadays, there is so much worry surrounding the conception, arrival and upbringing of a child.  Childbirth has become an extremely complicated process where it could cost upwards of fifteen thousand dollars to have a baby in a hospital.  That is of course, if you don’t have insurance.  The Boulder Hospital charges around that much to have your child there.  Of course, it is very important to keep the mother as comfortable as possible when she’s going through the pain of pregnancy.  The safety precautions that doctors and hospitals take these days are admirable in the United States, but it only makes your mind wander to less fortunate countries where they are having their children without sanitized equipment, clean water, or even a doctor to watch over the mother if something goes wrong.  Fifteen thousand dollars seems like a little too much now since it could save many lives in less fortunate countries.

But after the child is born, there are still thousands of books to choose from telling the parent’s how to raise their child.  There’s always the argument of whether the child should be allowed to cry itself to sleep or if the parents should comfort them when they cry at night.  Studies have come out both supporting and condemning the method.  Personally, I think that it would be a lousy idea to start neglecting your child at the very beginning.  There are times in the parents’ lives where their child will feel unloved because of how busy the parents become, but it shouldn’t start during infancy.  Why start the pattern at an early stage when you should be letting your child know that you’ll be there for them no matter what?

Another popular argument is whether breastfeeding is a better alternative to formula or other forms of nourishment.  Again, studies have shown that both have their advantages.  It’s generally agreed upon that the child and the mother become closer because of the act of breastfeeding, but it’s unclear if the baby or the mother is feeling this attachment.  I think that both forms are acceptable as long as it is being done right.  Warm formula in a bottle feels almost the same as the real thing, but it is still a substitute.  I guess the safe bet is to breastfeed the child since that is the natural way to do it.  We don’t realize in our jaded world that children are still fragile and innocent.  Maybe we should keep them that way for as long as possible.

The Problem Of Slim Reproduction

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

It would appear that in some societies in Western Europe and Asia, there is a growing concern that people are not reproducing as much as they need to be able to maintain the population.  Apparently people are running out of unique baby names.  Of course I’m only kidding.  The reasons are much more complex and underlying.  An especially troubling place seems to be the small, but technologically booming country of Japan.  Armed with a tragic history and a culture that many consider to be extreme, Japan is having a difficult time convincing their population that getting married and having kids is the necessary thing to do.

It seems as if many of the women in Japan are not being treated with the respect they deserve and come into womanhood with a deep seeded distrust and sometimes even hatred toward men.  They are also not as mature as many of the women in other countries because of the values that are being taught in schools.  Many women who have babies still act like girls in high school.  They are picky about who their kids can play with and which mothers are good enough to socialize with.  A lot of women feel so isolated that they wouldn’t even think about having kids.  Many people, not just women, are quickly embracing the cultural materialism that seems to be sweeping the nation.  Advertisements are far more prevalent there than even the United States and lists of popular gadgets and clothes are littering almost every street corner in the bigger cities.  A newborn baby would naturally be a difficult thing to fit into the busy lives of chaotic city folk, which leads to another reason why the birth rate is declining.

In Japan, the cultural pressure to pursue perfection is great.  Many believe that one must try as hard as possible to be the best they can be.  That’s why many people are extremely career driven and work much more than the regular forty hours a week.  Their jobs become their lives and they have little time for a social life.  Meeting other men and women becomes secondary and they forget about having a family.

This nation is having trouble with their population not because people aren’t having enough sex, but because nothing follows it.  Forget about baby shower ideas and wedding bells.

Have you ever arrived home late from work tired, beaten and just plop down in the sofa for some much needed rest and relaxation when out of the gloom your baby starts wailing.

He only seems to gives you a break when the sun starts to come up that You begin to wonder if the kid is a vampire or something.

A conspiration you say? well it really has the smell of one.You start to wonder all kinds of crazy things… “you know that boss of mind only pretends to talk business on his phone when all he is doing is calling junior to plan how to keep me in perpetual hell.”Then before you relalize you have drifted off, only to be  woken up in a stupor again to him screaming.

Lots of parents barely but arrive at work daily, tired and totally wrecked from lack of sleep because of their kids keeping them up all night, they get to their work stations and are totally inebriated from exhaustion. Before the day is over they are reprimanded by their supervisor for either falling asleep while working or screwing up the contract everyone was all depending on landing to ensure a fat bonus on christmas. You all can kiss that Jamaica vacation goodbye this year junior certainly made sure of that.

Should You Buy A Disposable Or A Reusable Swim Nappy?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

In the last few years, the real nappy is increasingly popular among parents who are aware of environmental issues, and want to save money at the same time. This is not the case in the swim nappy segment. People think the only option they have is disposable swim nappies, which is false: there is a wide choice of real swim nappies. The dilemma of using disposable or real swim nappies is timely because baby swimming is becoming more and more popular, and by now every pool owner requires small children to wear swim nappy.

Let’s make a list of the pros and cons of real and disposable swim nappies. Disposable nappies are available in every store, and they can be used without any further preparation. On the other hand a real swim nappy needs more attention: the parents must check if it fits exactly on their child. The initial cost of a real nappy is also more compared to a disposable one. But used frequently, a real swim nappy is cheaper, and if cared for properly, it can be used for years. Disposable nappies come in bulky packages, so transportation may not be as simple. Real swim nappies take up less space in the trunk of the car.

There is also a growing concern about the impact of chemicals of disposable swim nappies. A real swim nappy is made of cotton or similar organic materials: they don’t contain any plastics or other chemicals, so there is no impact on the babies. There are many colors and styles available for real swim nappies: smaller toddlers will like the colorful ones with cartoon characters printed on them. Older children, who may feel embarrassed to wear a nappy, opt for plain swim nappy that look very much like a normal swim suit. Disposable nappies may be more practical than the real ones: most of them can be ripped open, while real nappies have to be pulled down – quite a hassle when the nappy is wet.

Twin Or Tandem, Which Double Pushchair, Is For Me?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

As a mother of two young children of similar ages, you may find that simple tasks take double the amount of time to complete. Going shopping, short family outings or visits to the zoo all become much more stressful. Though there are several ways to make these situations easier. You could hire a helper; this may take a lot of pressure off of you, but it also lightens your wallet. Alternatively you could try using a baby harness; though few people like to use these because they look and work similar to dog leashes, and can’t be used on very young infants. The last and most realistic option would be to invest in a double pushchair. With this device you’ll be able to keep an eye on your loved ones and have a place for them to rest when they get tired of moving about.

There are a huge variety of double pushchairs on the market today; each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Those of you that have never considered buying one of these strollers, then the amount of options available to you may seem a little overwhelming at first. Here are some tips to help you narrow down your choice.

The 2 main double pushchair styles

There are two standard styles of double pushchair available to you; the ‘Tandem pushchair and Twin Pushchair’ the difference lies in their design. The tandem chair is built with the seats of the stroller one in front of the other, while the twin chair has its seats side by side. It’s best to use your own personal judgement when deciding between these two double pushchair designs and imagine which style your children would enjoy best. The twin chair would give your babies the freedom to interact with each other all the time, this may seem a plus, but could also be negative especially if your children don’t particularly get along.

The most important quality to be aware of is the size and weight of the stroller. The double pushchair is always going to be heavier than a single one, but you want to be able to lift it your self and be able to fit it into your car or cupboard. It’s a good idea to open the chair up and close it, to check that it is easy to use. Give it a little spin around the shopping centre before buying it just to make sure that you have sufficient control of it.

Quality and comfort come first

When buying for your loved ones it is always best to find a double pushchair of good quality. There are several good quality brands of pushchair out there that are priced quite low; you just have to find them. It’s a good idea to search the Internet for possibilities, as some sites will compare product prices and features for you.
Double Pushchair is essential if you have twins or two young children. Double Pushchair saves time and energy for regular family outings.
